update

Sorry it's been nearly a month since I last updated.
I finally got the pictures from the photo shoots I did with Amberlee Hildebrand. Special thanks to her and Matt and Mariposa Photography for the photos. (some of my faves are posted here)

I got a job at a local spa/salon here in Spanish Fork. I am the SPA MANAGER!!! ^_^ *celebrates good times* That means that Anthony is going to be quitting Macey's soon and in a couple of months, we'll be moving out into our own place again!!! *throws non-lethal confetti*
Alida is starting to try walking all by herself! She can take a few small steps unassisted already! It's only up from here. She'll be unstopable in a few months!
She is now 9 months old and she just had her 9 month doctor's visit. She is like 96% in her weight for her age and 100% in her height. She is above average still!!! She's also smart and interactive and curious!!!
My sister, Michelle is going to be receiving her endowments on Monday, my cousin Christine is getting married on Thursday and Michelle and her husband Brian are being sealed next saturday!!! on top of that, Anthony and I will be moving back into mom & Dad H's this next week! busy BuSy BUSY!!!

We went to Kiddie Kandids a couple of weeks ago and got Alida's pictures taken. We won't show all the pictures for reasons which I will not state now... but they'll all be up eventually. ^_^

Anthony's Birthday

Yesterday was Anthony's 25th Birthday.
He said he has a great day! He got a few movies, some clothes and Ma and I made him a replica of the Honduras flag blanket that was lost on our wedding night. He said it has brought back so many memories and he is more than happy to have some semblance of that lost item.
Here is a photo of the original blanket as displayed at our wedding reception... the last time anyone saw it and a picture of Anthony and Alida with the new blanket.

Easter

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, but having dial up only at home makes it difficult. Now that we have the lappy, it'll be much easier to update at the library or anywhere else we may find a connection. ^_^
Well, today is the day before Easter and Alida Dawn got her picture taken with the easter bunny while we were at Walmart ^_^
Normally, I'd expect a child as young as Alida to cry when sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap, but just at the sight of him, she grinned from ear to ear! It was adorable! She also got her pic with the Easter Bunny at the Mall.
Sorry ma, but we didn't have her pretty pink easter dress either time. :(
She apparently loves the Easter Bunny.

A Family Day Out

On Sunday, Anthony and I took Alida out after church and went for a family drive.

We drove through Provo Canyon and ended up in Park City.

In Park City, we drove up and down Historic Main Street. Anthony couldn't help but notice that the sidewalks were packed with Sunday Afternoon shoppers. He said it made him sad.
After main street, we drove through a small neighborhood and parked in a church parkinglot to allow the car to rest before making the drive back home.

We got out of the car and wrapped Alida in a blanket and walked around the neighborhood. The snow was higher than either of us... even with Alida on our shoulders!!! It was REALLY HIGH!!!
We found an empty path and followed it until it got too windy and then we turned around.
Alida got to play in the snow for the first time! She didn't quite know what to think about it. She ate it. *(I made sure it was the cleanest patch of snow I could find... which, I know, isn't saying much.)*

When we got back to the parking lot, Anthony wanted to go inside the church to see the interior. He said the outside looked nicer than most churches you see now, and he wanted to know if the inside was just as unusually nice. It was. =) We sat inside for about 30 minutes.

After we left Park City, we headed toward I-15 to go home, but when we saw a sign pointing to Salt Lake, I suggested that we pay an unexpected visit to Brian and Michelle My Belle. They were still at church however, when we arrived at their apartment, but Brian happened to be in the library and had his phone on when I called it. He answered it and we joined them at their church.
A few minutes before church got out, Anthony and I hid in a closet and we gave Alida to Brian to hold and when Michelle came into the library to join brian, he told her Alida had been put in the lost and found and he couldn't just leave her there. =) We popped out and I think Michelle wanted to cry! =) *But it's a good thing.*
It was great fun!

I couldn't be happier! Alida was a good girl for Anthony while I did all the dishes and cleaned the whole kitchen... for people who keep their houses generally clean, this doesn't sound like much of a feat... but for those of us who keep asking their husbands to do it and they don't.... it's a cause for CELEBRATION!!!
Alida is growing closer to Anthony. I think she's gonna be a daddy's girl! ^_^

More fun

Alida continues to amaze me! She is getting used to standing up in the crib, so I hope Anthony lowers it soon!!! She also stood up using the saucer today and ended up wedging herself between the saucer and the couch! :)
She has also been standing herself up using the couch or her dancing tower to pull herself up!
Just a few more months and I won't be able to keep up with her!!!
As you can see, she has been having fun with it! :)

Alida's Day!!!

Today was kind of a mixed day.
We didn't go to church today because Alida and I have come down with bad colds. Alida's may be due to teething. I think this because she started drooling a ton!!!
To make it a fun day, Alida pulled herself up using the side of the crib today all by herself!!! She did it 3 or 4 times this afternoon! ^_^
Now we'll have to lower the crib another level or 2!!! ^_^

Adventures

Today I am with Josie "Orville" Young. ^_^
Alida is playing in a bouncer that makes noise. It is Josies moms babys bouncer, but for now Careena is sleeping. Josies brothers keep mistaking Alida for Careena and then asking "whos baby is that". I'm at Josies house because our plumming went out. It was disgusting. The shower is now full of yellow liquid.
It's Lanas birthday and Josie and I are going to go suprise her by picking her up after work and bringing her out to dinner. Some day maybe she will get a car and come take us out for our birthday but until then.....Lana is now 25 years old. You would never guess it though. She's so much fun to be around ^_^
Josie let me come to her house and do laundry and take a shower. It's probably a good thing that I did laundry here because Alida needed clean clothes... ALL of the drains at mom and Dad's house are backed up!!! ALL OF THEM!!! and the one clean outfit I did have for Alida that she was in when we got here... well, let's just say that we had a diaper malfunction and it's no longer clean. ewww....
Josie and I are now getting ready to leave for Provo! ^_^

A house of order??? YEAH RIGHT!!!!

I have just decided to take a que from my sister's-in-law and create a blog... you know... to... um... blog. ^_^
I don't really know what I'm doing... or what to say... but hopefully this will keep people updated that we don't get to see very often... and I'll update as often as I can... keep in mind that we only have access to dial up, so how many pictures I post may very well be determined by that! :)
Right now, Anthony is sitting on the chair in the living room watching Alida who is refusing to take a nap... despite how tired she is. I am getting ready to leave for a CPR certification class I am taking so I can get one step further to getting my massage license. ^_^
Anthony still works at Macey's, but we are working hard to get us out of our perverbial rut.
Alida started eating cereal and mini marshmallows for the first time today. She still has a hard time with cheerios, but she loves Kix!
Anthony loves Kix too!!! ^_^
